Year 1: Foundations

Build the foundation for serious business-owner advisory work.

11X Year 1 is a live advisor-development program for financial advisors who want to work with private and family business owners at a deeper level.

Role Shift

The work begins with the owner, not the product.

Participants learn to begin with the owner’s situation, what the owner wants to accomplish, what is preventing progress, and what happens if the issues remain unresolved.

From there, the advisor learns to establish a serious engagement, define the value of the work, bring the right people together, and maintain responsibility for movement and follow-through.

What Advisors Develop

Participants develop the ability to lead with the owner’s goals, identify whether there is a serious problem to solve, move beyond product or benefit conversations, prepare for more consequential meetings, frame value, coordinate the right team, and turn complexity into clear next actions.

Learning Experience

Live sessions combine teaching, discussion, examples, structured practice, and participant application. The program is designed for advisors who are willing to prepare, practice the conversation, test the ideas in the field, and return with questions and results.

Who Year 1 is a Fit For

Year 1 is a strong fit for advisors who already work with business owners, or who are serious about developing that market.

The strongest fit is an advisor who wants to lead a broader advisory relationship, collaborate with other professionals, charge appropriately for judgment and responsibility, and follow through between sessions.
